What is your version of Season 6?
I have always watched episode 200 and thought, I REALLY wish there was a season 6 of Sailor Moon. But, to my dismay, there might not be one, so I have to resort to fanmade Season 6's. My sister has introduced me to a lot of them, but my favourite and the most anticipated, I believe, is Sailor Moon Sacrifice: The 6th Season.
Sailor Moon Sacrifice Website
If you check out the website, you may find information you want to know, but as of now, they are on hiatus on updates on the site.
Basically, this "season" is about Kurai, Usagi's sister from the Silver Millenium. According to Chaos, one of them can't live or the world will be engulfed in evil. Usagi has to make the choice of killing her sister or not.
I must say that I was instantly intrigued by this and I really have to congratulate Kaosu Studios on their job well done.
They are anticipating a release of October 31, 2009 (tentative), so please check out on youtube for the first episode. This will be a full season, and maybe a movie.
I hope many of you found this interesting, and I encourage you all to go and see it!
And oh, Seiya comes back ^^ You will have to watch to find out why!
The link to the Youtube channel is here and here.
Are there any lovers already of Sacrifice? Please say so in the comments!

Making a Come-Back?
So I have heard of many rumours that Sailor Moon is going to re-air in Japan and...Italy! Yup, you guessed it. Where you find the world's best gelato ice cream. Which makes me wonder ... if Italy is going to reair Sailor Moon, why can't America and where I live, Canada?
Here is the article which states that Japan is going to re air here and here is the link for the Italy article. (mind that they are in different languages - you could probably go to a translator to get the most out of it)
So what do you guys think of this re-airing business? Do you guys think that this will bring back the legacy of Sailor Moon and maybe even some new...episodes? *gasp*
I think that this means that Sailor Moon has finally been appreciated by the people who have renewed its license and that it means Sailor Moon is far from being gone!
I hope!
What do you guys think? Are you guys excited? I sure am!

FINALLY! The interview with Maravoillantes
Finally, here it is - the interview with Maravoillantes, the creator of Sailor Moon forum and his other projects.
Q: What made you start this forum?
A: I think that many people who spend a lot of time at online forums sooner or later start to think about creating that of their own, especially if they have a website already. Back in 2006-2007 several formerly active and popular Sailor Moon forums were abandoned by their administrators and dilapidated (sailormooni.com is one of them), so that also was one of reasons.
Q: Since when did you like Sailor Moon?
A: I probably accidentally stumbled upon the anime on TV around 97-98, but wasn't particularly interested. That is, it certainly wasn't love from the first glance. Perhaps I watched several episodes, but didn't start to watch them on a regular basis and later forgot almost completely for a few years. The next time I became a bit more interested around 2001-2002, but I can't remember already why it happened. Throughout these two years the series was being aired on TV again (on two channels), but in quite incontinent for my schedule back then time, so I managed to watch only a few episodes from time to time. In 2001 I bought a poster, but that basically was all. I still didn't become a fan that year, and when the series ended, my interest in it decreased as well.
I think the two crucial points that finally converted me into a Sailor Moon fan were discovering of Sailor Moon video games and online communities dedicated to Sailor Moon (I mean websites and forums). Both of these happened around the end of 2003. Once I bought a magazine about console video games and at one page there was an ad saying that you can order by mail previous issues of this magazine. There were covers of those previous issues drawn in a circle, and one of them featured *Sailor Moon* game (one of SNES fighting games, as I learned a few months later). I ordered that particular issue by mail, and later was asking in nearest shops selling cartridges and CDs for game consoles if they have any Sailor Moon games (of course they didn't have any). I still have those two issues of the magazine, one with the ad, and another with article about the game. The magazine (its pdf version on CD, that is) arrived by mail in December 2003. I did not learn much from that article, especially as to where I can buy the game itself and even what platform it is for. Back then I did not have a computer, and thus was reading that pdf version of the magazine in an Internet cafe. Then it somehow came into my head to look for some info on Sailor Moon in the Internet. Before that I had only a vague idea what a "website" is and no idea at all about search engines. So I typed the only url somehow related to anime and manga I knew (I found it accidentally on the back of a VHS case I once saw and remembered), and then proceeded to click links I found on that page, and after approximately an hour of clicking I finally accidentally stumbled upon a website containing info about the series, pictures, and, what was the most important to me, it offered to order CDs with the whole 200 series recorded from TNT (a Russian TV channel). Of course the only thing I could think of after that is to how to buy those disks. I wasn't working as yet then, so I started to save up my pocket money and then bought all five seasons, one by one, through the first half of 2004. I remember I even sold a golden chain and a few books to get a bit more money. And I didn't even have a PC, so at first I couldn't even watch the CDs I bought. Once I visited a friend who had a PC to watch a few disks, but either his PC was too old, or didn't have proper codecs, but they weren't playing correctly, so mostly I was buying those CDs hoping that later I can buy either PC or DVD player and watch them.
In 2004 I also started to participate in online forums dedicated to Sailor Moon, on rather irregular basis, since I had neither PC nor Internet. Usually I was visiting a local library two or three times a week. I discovered more Sailor Moon websites, and also a few shops that offered VHS tapes with the series. I bought the three movies and the first two seasons on VHS tapes.
In the spring of 2004 I got a job, and later bought a Sega Dreamcast, that distracted me from Sailor Moon for some time. I think one of the reasons I bought it was that formerly, when I was buying other consoles, I was obliged to wait for a long time and save up my pocket money (more than during a year for Playstation, and even after that I had enough money only to buy a used console), so when I finally got a salary, I was like, gosh, now I do not need to wait for months and years, and can buy any video game console I want. But the strengths were not equal, and Sailor Moon won That probably was the last time in my life I was distracted from Sailor Moon by anything.
By the end of 2004 I got my first official Sailor Moon item - it was volume 1 of the Japanese manga. At first I thought that the drawing style in the manga was weird (compared to the anime) and it took me a while before I started to like it.
Q: What has this forum done to help the Sailor Moon legacy remain at large (according to you).
A: Unfortunately, Bandai, Toei, PNP, and millions of dollars of new investments are the only ones who can keep Sailor Moon at large. The forum is more like an asylum for enthusiasts than anything that can have some significant impact on the fandom. Well, of course it happens from time to time that people participate in the forum and get inspired for some fan projects while looking at other people's work, like making video games, or doing panels at conventions. Yes, I think it helps a bit to upkeep the fandom alive.
Q: Why did you merge with the other forum in April?
A: To delay something I don't know how to evade completely, I'm afraid. The fandom is constantly shrinking down, now very slowly, of course, so, if sailormoonforum.com wasn't merged and was managed properly, it would take years before it was depopulated completely, but still it was just a matter of time. The same can be said about prettyguardiansailormoon.com. Merged together they will last longer than either of them could separately, so it was a logical action. That's probably the "ultimate truth" behind the whole merging. Of course it wasn't the only reason. I believe that in ideal world all moonies should be together, so we were trying to do at least something in this direction. The fact that there were and still are so many tiny forums is a disaster, I think, and majority of them were created without people even having a clear idea what for they need them, apart from becoming a mini-boss who dictates the rules. And what is still worse, majority of people who create their own forums do not have neither time, nor interest to maintain them any longer than they like to play with them. Then in a year or two they become bored and move to something else, and forums die and dilapidate. That happened countless times in the past and still happens even now, sadly as it is. Take for example sailormooni.com. Five or so years ago there were hundreds of active members. Where they all are now? Of course, a tiny handful of hardcore moonies moved to some other forums, but majority is lost for the fandom for good. There always is a significant amount of occasional or new fans, or even old ones who became too attached to the old forum and who just won't bother to look for some other place once the forum they frequented is gone, and move to something else instead. And chances are that this something won't be Sailor Moon already. In the long run it's one of factors contributing to further depopulation of the fandom - its segregation into tiny forums and their subsequent inevitable dying. I think that merging forums is beneficial for the fandom, especially now, when it's significantly smaller than it was five or ten years ago.
Q: Who is your favourite character and why?
A: Sailor Moon. Nothing really original here.
Q: Is it hard managing this forum and why do you like managing this forum?
A: Something around two hours a day, I suppose. I mean the time I spend on the forum reading posts, replying, etc. Many people probably would say it's a lot, especially that's not the kind of work you can have weekends from. Most work of managing a forum doesn't belong to forum itself, though. It belongs to managing websites and creating new content for them. Technically speaking, in the long term perspective future of any forum depends on how much traffic from its "target auditory" it gets and what percent of these visitors sign up and start to visit a forum on a regular basis. Websites that a forum belongs to are main sources for such traffic so constantly working on updating and enlarging them is critically important for keeping a forum alive. By far more important than any other kind of work, I suppose. You can, of course, get several new members quickly by posting a couple of links in other forums or inviting your friends, but unless you build a solid platform guaranteeing that new people will visit and join your forum on a regular basis, it is doomed. My best suggestion to everyone who wants to make their own forum, and want it to be active, would be to forget about it for at least a year, and spend this time instead for building a website with interesting and popular content. When and if you have at least a couple of gigabytes of traffic and several hundred hits daily, then you can think about creating a forum. As to why I like managing it... not really easy to answer. Managing is rather a work you have to do to achieve some result and result is what you like. Sometimes managing becomes something directly opposite to liking it, especially when you have to deal with vandals. In the long run positive aspects overweigh, of course.
Q: What are the ups and downs of managing a forum this large?
A: Ups? Of course possibility to meet a lot of new people and communicating to them. Downs? When there is a hundred or two of active members, you can expect that there always will be someone discontent and complaining and always looking for starting e-drama. It's not necessarily bad, though, and it's an inevitable consequence of having a popular and developed forum. Only totalitarian societies do not have anyone complaining, and pretty much the same is true for online forums: if you don't have any members believing that admin is a complete retard and must be replaced with someone else, it is a sure indication that there is something really wrong with your forum. Even though it's normal and inevitable, still trying to find some kind of compromise between different people sometimes is far from being easy. So yes, it's one of downs of having a large forum.
Q: What will be your next project?
A: No idea, sorry. I have a bad habit of starting to do many things at once, so I'm never completely sure which of my projects is "next". Currently I'm working on Sailor Moon dating simulator #4. I have a lot of other projects and yet more ideas, but I'm not really sure how all of them will progress.
So there you have it! If you have questions for him, just say so in the comments and I will make sure I get it to him.
Thanks for reading!

Why Is Sailor Moon so big?
I have always asked myself this questions about my obsessions. "Why does this subject so big?" In this case, it is Sailor Moon. I mean, ever since I was what, five years old, Sailor Moon has been a big thing. And when I say things about Sailor Moon to one of my best friends right now - all she can is that "Oh yeah! I had a Sailor Moon t-shirt." But, somehow I beat her by saying I had a "Sailor Moon bathing suit". It was so cute ^^ Sailor Moon is a topic that remains large in our hearts even today, even though we watched it ten years ago.
Even though I realize that people will think I am such a little girl for still being obsessed with Sailor Moon, I don't care. There are other people like me out there. And I know that for a fact.
There are many forums, fansites dedicated to Sailor Moon.
Many people make AMVs in devotion of Sailor Moon as well as fanfiction.
There are dolls, video games, fan art and posters made for Sailor Moon. And many fans have many of these things. Why do so many fans have these things and why does it make Sailor Moon bigger than it already is?
Because Sailor Moon is awesome, helping us to relate to the series to our own lives. Helping us to do the right things in life. Helping us to become better people.
And guess what? We learn all this from a simple anime/cartoon! Isn't that awesome?
I want people to continue loving this series full of romance, action, suspense and wonderful characters.
This series needs to remain big as it was ten years ago and as big as it is right now. I have faith it will remain big.
I mean, why not? Who will not love Usagi/Serena?
Sailor Moon is a wonderful series that really encaptures friendship, loves and enmities formed with the bad guys. It is not only an anime - it is a perfect association and reflection of the world today - minus the superpowers and Sailor Scouts. The problems are very real and can be reflected on by anyone.
Just believe in yourself, and believe in the phenomenon known as Sailor Moon.
It will remain as big as it always will be.
